Not all the media dislike BCFC. it seems though  the Trinity group / Mirror in particular have a problem with us. i have no idea why this is perhaps one of the people running it are either a Viler or a Blackburn fan

;)

Even the Sports Argus is part of that group! :o

It's well-known that the Mirror are always trying to cause trouble for our club. They never say anything they can be sued for - using words such as 'believed' 'allegedly' 'understand' etc. but they do enough to dish the dirt and many of their readers believe it.

Could be that since losing out on the battle for the big "Tapping" story, that are trying to find something else to glamorise and promote their sales!!!

It makes you laugh when the report says "Scandal to rock football"...

There is more scandal in football on the pitch than off it... Try poor ref decisions, players diving, linesmen that are overlooked in decision making, players having to go off to receive treatment and then having to come back on........... could go on...

In truth the only thing worth reading in sport sections are the match reports and even they are starting to become biased on occasions.......

it was on Sky this morning and dismissed very quickley as 'always happening' and no big deal. Its just a story to sell newspapers and laughable really. The FA were aware of the deal going through it was just the fax didn't arrive until after midnight due to the line being busy.

I wonder if a certain meddlesome little Welsh g1t found about it and leaked it to the papers, with the hope that we would be deducted points and lose out on the rifle; leaving them with a better possibility of signing him after the season ends?

From what I've seen and heard I wouldn't put it past him, he seems to be very bitter and looking for any reason to weaken us. I think we're going to have to watch some of our youth/academy players as I have a feeling that some of them may be targetted by Welshburn.

The finger can only be pointed at authorities that run our league....

If we send a fax through with registration details and it does not arrive til after the deadline they have every right to block the move, yet they gave the go ahead for him to play which means in effect its been approved, its the fault of the league and not ours...

Otherwise if we can dictate the rules and be allowed to get away with this, as it seems the newspapers and radio stations seem to say, then i reckon we should award ourselves enough points to win the league and relegate the vile......

Too much hot air over nothing..........

I'm inclined to agree, the FA/Prem don't seem to be making a fuss over this so there's no case to answer as far as they're concerned. It does make you wonder why the press seem to be picking up on this story, even when it must have happened to other clubs in the past!

I still believe that someone somewhere is deliberately trying to embaress us, and it has to be someone 'in the know'; someoene at the FA/Prem or someone who has access to details of recent transfer deals.

I wouldn't even go that far. We made no secret of the fact we registered the deal at the last minute, so someone from the Mirror group of newspapers decided to see if he could dig for some dirt (as it appears to be a job requirement for people employed by that company), found out that Spurs only registered Dawson at 11.58pm, so put two and two together to get five.

Note how they didn't contact Blues for a reaction - probably because they'd have been given short thrift (and even the threat of legal action) if they had, blowing their story out of the water.

reading the article, there's no case to answer! so why are they (the press) making such a fuss. It states that all the right people new that there was the deal happening and all that was needed was for the paperwork to be finalised by the Premier league office. They came up for a reason why nothing could get through immediatley after 11.58pm and so were happy to allow extra time whilst they sorted themselves out. Providing that, if it was to go to FIFA, this is explained then it would/should be those above to get into trouble and not us, as mentioned before the move could have easily been blocked there and then - pandiani not only needed his move to be sanctioned, he needed to be registered and obtain international clearence. If it was such a problem surely someone would have mentioned it before now?
